GSSC currently hosts a few groups for Firearm Safety and Concealed Carry classes throughout the year, led by various instructors. Check out the available classes below for upcoming class options.

Minnesota Hunter Education/Firearms Safety Certification Course
“The firearms safety class consists of a minimum of 4 separate class sessions (students must attend the entire class for which they sign up), learning the safe handling of firearms, hunter responsibility and wildlife conservation. Students then complete the additional field day.
The field day consists of seven required scenario-based training opportunities. These scenarios allow students to learn and demonstrate commonly accepted principles of safety in hunting and the handling of firearms. It includes shooting a .22 caliber rifle on a range.” – Minnesota Department of Natural Resources

Requirements & Expectations
- Bring birth certificate and a check to GSSC for $7.50 on the sign up day
- Engage in cooperative learning-help others in the class understand the topics covered.
- (this is a state requirement & it will be returned)
- Do not bring a firearm to class unless requested to do so by the instructors.
- NEVER BRING AMMUNITION TO CLASS!!

December 2025 Concealed Carry Class
Class by Coulee Firearms Training and led by Mike Earnster
When: Sunday, December 14th, 2025 from 2pm to 5pm
Who: Open to GSSC members. Members may bring one guest and pay for them.
Price: $100 per person (payable via cash or check)
